Once again we set off with the intent to get away from our mundane lives back home convinced that once we are free of the shackles of daily life our true abilities to make the world a better place will soar like a little parakeet at last loosed from the bondage of its cramped, dingy cage with the paper in the bottom that doesn't get changed often enough, and the little seed ball that has become rancid, because the moron spilled water on it two days ago, or was it three... soar up into the bright blue sky for all to admire and say, "By golly, that little parakeet sure is making the world a better place in which to be... down here looking at parakeets."

Jeez. What can I say. Is this an extension with the Disneyland obsession?
A nice state park out between Auburn and Black Diamond

"Well...", I reply, chuckling slightly, "I appreciate your keen insight, but this is part of my new push to get some semblance of a life. Not a normal life mind you. For a normal leisure time activity seems to consist of hanging around in dark, smoky taverns playing darts and getting loud and belligerent on {shudder} Budweiser.
I don't think so.
I do have a highly developed appreciation of the absurd and the unusual and this serves me well in identifying those places and activities sure to tickle the fancy. {Fancy tickling???}
