Steam Donkey Hunting

Steam donkeys are huge steam powered winches used for hauling logs from where they were cut to a location for loading on rail cars. Sometimes, when their usefulness came to an end, it would have been too costly to drag them out of the woods. They were left where they were, only to searched for like hidden treasure decades later.

The Journey - Roaming around on the logging roads in a jeep is a lot of fun. This is a view over the hood of the jeep as we search for our quarry.
